Freedom School - Volunteers
Monroe Street Freedom School needs volunteers! We are so glad you want to help. Monroe Street Freedom School will run for 6 weeks this summer, from June 16 – July 25.
Please review the general information flyer as well as the different volunteer positions. When you are ready to sign-up to volunteer, please click the button below. It’s great if you can volunteer every day for a week, or one day each week if possible. If not, do what works for you!
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Sign-In Table
1 person at each shift each day
Shift 1: 7:45am to 11:30am
Shift 2: 11:30am to 3:30pm
Greet parents and children, assist with signing children and volunteers in and out.
LEARN MORE
Lunch Serving and Cleanup
2 people each day
11:30am to 1:00 pm
Assist chef in serving lunch, assist children as needed, sit at a lunch table and interact with children, help with cleanup.
Reading and Lunch Companion
3 people each day
11:40am to 12:45pm
Read with an individual child; sit at a lunch table and interact with children.
